John's Changing Faces!
I like changing things around every once in a while. Currently I've gone in for the clean cut shaven look. Here are a few pictures taken over the past year:
A Few Workout Shots
I work out 4-5 X / week, at the gym and at home. I enjoy staying healthy and fit. Here are a few recent photographs (arms, traps, neck):
Here's a bit of digital magic from my friend Dave -- a bodybuilder, illustrator, and medical genious to boot! Based upon measurements I supplied him and an analysis of my genetics, he computed a probable bodybuilding potential for me. Dave then generated the following picture to scale. I sure hope to be there in a few years!! :)
Family Stuff
A picture of my mom and yours truly, from way back when!
A family photo showing my uncle, grandmother, my dog, aunt, and father.
John at Work
Most of what I do these days centers around software engineering management. But the photo below is one of the more tangible hardware items I designed and built early in my career. It is an EPROM programmer which transfers firmware onto Intel 27256 chips soldered directly onto circuit boards. It interfaces to an IBM-compatible computer which controls its onboard logic and power supplies. Up to six Standard Electronic Modules can be inserted into the unit under the lid on the left.
Mountain Biking
I enjoy mountain biking, and bike whenever I have an opportunity. I recently hit the trails in Brevard, NC. What a blast. Back home, living on the coast, the terrain tends to be rather flat. However, I love riding through the Francis Marion National Forest on weekends. There, it's not uncommon to spot wild turkey, vultures, and hawks (among other things!). I own a Specialized Rockhopper, pictured below.
